This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is entered into by and between Sorrow (“Sorrow,” “we,” “us,” “our”), the entity operating the software application known as “Sorrow Bot” (the “Bot”), accessible through the Discord platform and via the domain sorrow.rest (the “Website”), and the individual or entity accessing or utilizing the Bot, Website, or any associated services (collectively, the “Services”), hereinafter referred to as “you,” “your,” or “User.” References to “Sorrow Bot,” “the Bot,” or “the Service” shall encompass all features, functionalities, premium offerings, application programming interfaces, and ancillary tools provided under the Sorrow brand. This Policy is supplementary to and should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Refund Policy. By accessing, interacting with, or otherwise utilizing any component of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy. If you do not agree to any provision of this Policy, you must immediately discontinue use of all Services.
This Policy applies to all information collected, processed, stored, transmitted, or otherwise handled in connection with your use of the Services, regardless of the method or medium through which such information is provided. This includes, without limitation, data collected through direct interaction with the Bot via Discord slash commands, automated data collection mechanisms, third-party payment processors, and any other channels through which you may engage with the Services. This Policy does not govern the practices of third parties, including but not limited to Discord Inc., OxaPay, or any other external service providers whose platforms or services may be accessed through or in conjunction with the Services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these third parties independently.
In the course of providing and maintaining the Services, we collect and process certain categories of information pertaining to Users and their interactions with the Bot. Such information includes, but is not limited to, Discord User identifiers, server (guild) identifiers, channel identifiers, command usage metadata, interaction timestamps, and feature utilization patterns. This data is collected for the purposes of service delivery, functionality optimization, abuse prevention, usage analytics, and the enforcement of our Terms of Service.
Guild identifiers and channel identifiers are utilized to facilitate server-specific Bot functionalities, including but not limited to configuration persistence, command routing, and feature customization. Users retain the ability to opt out of guild activity tracking at any time by utilizing the Bot's built-in settings command and disabling the “Guild Activity” option. Such opt-out shall take effect immediately upon confirmation and shall not retroactively affect data previously collected during the opt-in period.
Server identifiers, channel identifiers, and associated transactional metadata are retained for a limited period not exceeding twenty-four (24) hours from the time of collection, after which such data is automatically purged from all active storage systems. Certain aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely for statistical analysis, service improvement, and internal reporting purposes. Premium subscription records, including payment confirmation data and subscription status, are retained for the duration of the subscription period and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance purposes.
We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially distribute any personally identifiable information collected through the Services to any third party. Information may be disclosed in the following limited circumstances: (a) to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests; (b) to enforce our Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues; (d) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sorrow, its Users, or the public as required or permitted by law. Aggregate, anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual User may be shared for analytical, research, or service improvement purposes.
All financial transactions related to Premium subscriptions are processed exclusively through OxaPay, a third-party cryptocurrency payment processing service. Sorrow does not directly collect, store, process, or have access to your cryptocurrency wallet addresses, private keys, transaction hashes, or any other financial instruments beyond the minimum information necessary to verify payment confirmation and activate the corresponding subscription tier. All payment data handling by OxaPay is subject to their own privacy policy and terms of service. Sorrow assumes no liability for the data practices of OxaPay or any other third-party payment processor.
Users may request the complete and permanent deletion of all personally identifiable data associated with their account by submitting a formal request through our official Discord support server. Upon receipt and verification of a valid deletion request, all applicable data shall be irreversibly removed from our systems within thirty (30) calendar days. This includes, without limitation, User identifiers, usage history, preference configurations, and any other information collected during the course of your interaction with the Services. Deletion of data associated with an active Premium subscription does not constitute grounds for a refund as outlined in our Refund Policy and does not relieve the User of any obligations under the applicable Terms of Service.
The Services are not intended for, and shall not be used by, any individual under the age of thirteen (13) years, or under the minimum age required by the laws of the jurisdiction in which such individual resides, whichever is greater. By accessing or using any component of the Services, you represent and warrant that you satisfy the applicable age requirement as further stipulated in our Terms of Service. Sorrow does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals who do not meet the minimum age threshold. In the event that we become aware that data has been collected from such an individual, we shall take prompt action to delete the information and terminate access to the Services.
Sorrow reserves the sole and absolute right to amend, modify, supplement, or replace this Policy in whole or in part at any time and without prior notice. Any such modifications shall become effective immediately upon publication of the revised Policy on sorrow.rest. It is your sole responsibility to review this Policy periodically for changes. Your continued access to or use of any component of the Services following the posting of any modifications constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree with any modification, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Services.
This Policy shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of România, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to this Policy, or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in București, România. You hereby irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to venue therein.
The Services are developed, maintained, and operated by Sorrow, registered in București, România. All services, features, and offerings are provided exclusively under the Sorrow brand.
